Freeburn Recreation Building

The Freeburn Recreation Building was formally opened on March 28, 1924.
It cost the Portsmouth By- Product Coke Co. over $75,000.00 to build the playhouse and social center for the workmen

of the Freeburn Plant and their friends. Owned by Roscoe & Maggie Mccellan until it burned down.
